Day 1: Marrakech – Imlil (1740m) – Tizi Mzik (2684m) – Tamsoulte Waterfalls – Tizi Oussem (1850m)
After breakfast in Marrakech, you’ll be picked up and driven towards the High Atlas via Tahnaout, Asni, and the stunning Oued Ghighaya valley. Upon arrival in Imlil, you’ll meet your local guide and muleteer and begin your trek by ascending the Tizi Mzik Pass (2684m), offering panoramic views over Imlil and the Toubkal Massif. Continue through juniper forests to visit the Tamsoulte waterfalls—the highest in the region—before descending into the Azzaden Valley. Overnight in a Berber guesthouse in the village of Tizi Oussem.
Trekking time: approx. 5 hrs
Day 2: Tizi Oussem – Id Issa – Tizi Oudid (2000m) – Matat – Imlil
Today’s trek continues through the vibrant Azzaden Valley. You’ll pass through the village of Id Issa, ascend the Tizi Oudid pass, and descend through Matat village beneath thurifer junipers. Enjoy lunch under walnut groves by the river before a short hike back to Imlil. Overnight in a guesthouse in Imlil.
Trekking time: approx. 4-5 hrs
Day 3: Imlil – Tizi n’Tichka Pass – Ait Benhaddou (optional stop) – Dades Gorges
Depart Imlil after breakfast and journey across the Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2260m). En route, you’ll pass traditional Berber villages, with the option to visit the Ouarzazate film studios or hike in the area. Continue through the Valley of the Roses and arrive at Dades Gorges for an overnight stay in a local hotel.
Driving time: approx. 7 hrs
Day 4: Dades Gorges – Todra Gorge – Merzouga – Erg Chebbi Camel Ride
After breakfast, drive to the Todra Gorge, a dramatic canyon rising 300 meters high. Take time to explore the gorge or walk through the palmery before continuing to Merzouga. Upon arrival, you’ll ride camels across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi at sunset. Spend the night in a Berber desert camp with a traditional dinner and music under the stars.

Camel trek: approx. 1.5 hrs
Day 5: Erg Chebbi – Merzouga – Tazarine – Ouarzazate – Marrakech
Wake early for a camel ride at sunrise, followed by breakfast and showers in Merzouga. Then begin the return journey to Marrakech through the stone desert of Tazarine, with stops for photos, lunch, and exploration. Arrive in Marrakech in the early evening.
